Obituary of Vi Rathje

Viola “Vi” Gay Rathje passed away at the University Of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta, June 20, 2019 at the age of 65 years.

Vi is survived by: her two sons, Jim (Val) Rathje and Mike (Shayna) Rathje; her husband Bob Rathje; her seven grandchildren, Owen, Lucas, Ian, Hannah, Jack, Ryker, Emma; her siblings, Eileen Rathje, Ivan Cooper, Vern Cooper, Ken Cooper, Adella Nielsen, Gwen Christenson, Stuart Cooper and Dorthea Holland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vi was predeceased by: her son, Thomas "Tom" Rathje; her parents, Raymond and Edna Cooper; her siblings, Myrna Link,  Darlene Matwe and Allen Cooper.

The Memorial Service for Vi will be conducted from McQueen Memorial United Church, Mannville, Alberta on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM.

Donations in memory of Vi may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
