Dear Val, Even though I never had the privilege of really knowing Alex, the few times I did get to meet him, he seemed like such a gentle soul, a big teddy bear and the kind of guy that would do anything for anyone!! Plus, working with you over the years and hearing your family stories, just knew you both were filled with so much love and pride for your precious family. Val and family! We have so many great memories of Alex and you and Alex as a couple, it's difficult to choose just one! We were so saddened to hear of his passing yet this is not a time to mourn him but celebrate him, to find peace and comfort in knowing we had the privilege to be a small part of his life. 'To Live in the Hearts we Leave Behind, is Not to Die.'

I will never forget that you and Alex took me in my first year with the Regina Rams and it made me so comfortable to have my big cousin look after me. He will missed by so many.

So sorry Val to you and your family. He gave me a much better appreciation of football after he sat patiently explaining the calls and plays to me during Grey Cup. One of my first memories is waitressing at Rostad's as a teenager. He always showed all the staff respect and patience even when we made mistakes lol and with just a look he would have everyone in the restaurant do the same. A class act
