Obituary of Betty Kennedy

Please share a memory of Betty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beatrice “Betty” Kennedy. Betty passed away at the young age of 85 on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre. Betty was born in Brown’s Brae, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Ellen Rowe. Betty was baptised at United Church of Canada on May 12, 1948 in Brown’s Brae, Ontario. Betty’s love in life was her children first and foremost. She attended every event or activity that they were involved in. Her second love was her cats and she had many over the years. Betty’s last cat “Tommy” looked very much like Garfield and definitely lived a happy and spoiled life until his passing. Betty loved being a stay at home mom and she prided herself in keeping her home and yard tidy for her family. She was also a very great cook. Betty is survived by: her daughter, Lorie (Lorne) Antony; son, Bruce (Lisa) Kennedy; daughter, Susan (John) Day; sister, Joan Leuschner of Willowdale, ON; grandsons, Tyrone Kennedy-Bush (Anna), Brandon Kryska and Jeff Day; great granddaughter, Allison Danielle Kennedy-Bush; and cousins, Mark, Paul, Scott and families. Betty was predeceased by: her parents; brother, Richard; and brother-in-law, Ken Leuschner. The Celebration of Life in memory of Betty will be conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the donor’s charity of choice. Please share a memory or leave an online condolence.
