Paulette and Families...Our deepest condolences to all on the passing of Leo. As a little girl buying groceries in the Co-op with my mom, Mary Whiting, Leo used to stand SO TALL. We would go up the big stairs in the Co-op to pay our bill once a month, and maybe have a chat with your dad. As a little girl, I would shudder in my shoes!!! As years continued, and I got bigger, I actually thought he was ok!! I even admired him and respected him!! My best memory of your dad, which I will always remember, is when I got a parking ticket for parking all day in the parking lot that used to be west of the Grocery store (where the parkade is today).
I then worked at the Credit Union. A $40 ticket was a lot of money, and after all, I had bought my groceries that day! I summoned up enough courage to go up those stairs and talk to him in his office. We had a good visit, and then how would we decide to handle the problem. He asked me what I thought would be fair. I thought we could just split the bill!! and that's exactly what we did. How fair he was!!! I walked down that staircase more confident!!! After that, whenever I saw your dad, he gave me that little wink, and we both knew!!
My mom used to enjoy your dad's participation in the choir at the Hemstock. He had a great voice and even helped to organize whatever. If there were some troubles, he would step up and make sure everyone was satisfied and understood everyone's positions...and the singing would continue...
He was a great guy and so well thought of. I will miss him, with a smile! Great momories!!!

Dear Family,
I have fond memories, like my siblings, of Uncle Leo and Auntie Adelaide and the many cousins. I remember Uncle Leo joining a Christmas family hockey game, I believe it was in Kindersley. Uncle Jerry may have been at that came as well. So many great memories of the solid family we were all surrounded by. You are in our prayers.

Dear cousins; Paulette, Kevin, Carol and extended family and friends. We join you in tears and in celebration of mon oncle Leo. I have rich memories of him being kind and fun to us kids. And I used to love to hear him sing.
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26
I apologize that I am not able to attend the funeral. Love to all.

Our condolenses to Carol, Paulette, and Kevin. Many memories with Leon. Always enjoyed the Doucets' visits to the farm at Domremy. The many card games. Leon did try to teach me how to golf [not too well because he always won]. Leon planted the "travel-bug" with us in the '70's by booking us to Europe - then Hawaii [twice] with first-class Wardair. And unfortunately we will be in Kauai so cannot attend the service next week. Leon was a positive and proud gentleman. Fortunate to have been a part of Leon's life.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I thought he was a great guy... and the best singer in church.
He showed me my first color TV and first ever pool game in your basement.
All the best!

Paulette and Joe. Sincere sympathy on your loss. I always enjoyed visiting Leo in our development and later at the H/H and then Pioneer House. He and Doug worked together at the condo’s. Your Dad and My sister respected each other as Co- Op managers from back in the 70’s and he always asked about her.

My thoughts & prayers are with you on the passing of your father. My late husband, Orest was a meat cutter at the Co-op many years ago. He often spoke very highly of him & had great memories. He was a great boss to work for. As you celebrate his life, may the the memories you share bring you comfort. May he be the angel on your shoulders when in need. With deepest sympathy. Ama Wynnyk

To Carol, Paulette and Kevin and your families,
We are sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. We have many great memories living next door, his kindness, his beautiful voice in church and then there was always the car race home from church. I’m sure both your dad’s and our mom’s guardian angels were in full flight! Many fun memories. We are away and won’t make it to your dad’s services, but will be thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers.
