Bert was a very valued employee of Rusway Construction for many years. He was a great pipe layer and then foreman for many contracts.
One of my favourite memories of his wit is of a time on a job in Unity Sask! The elderly men from the town always liked to be side walk superintendents and were looking over the ditch one morning inspecting the job. Bert looked up at them and asked ' what's the matter, haven't you seen an Indian working before'!
Another memory is of Bert picking blueberries in La Loche on rainy days. He taught me how to pick blueberries. Great blueberry picker!
Rest in Peace Bert!
