BIOGRAPHY
SAND ~ Harold Sand passed away peacefully in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the age of 88 years.
Harold will be sadly missed by his sister Jessie and Clarence Arneson of Campbell River, British Columbia; nieces: Jan and Allan Zuk of Campbell River, British Columbia, Karen and Omer Despins of Knutsford, British Columbia; great nephew Kevin and Carolyn Zuk of Kamloops, British Columbia as well as numerous other relatives.
The memorial service was conducted from the Zion Lutheran Church, Dina District, Alberta on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Quinn Adams officiating.
The eulogy was read by Jean Buha.
The hymns sung were Amazing Grace, What A Friend We Have In Jesus and How Great Thou Art accompanied on the organ by Brianne Bergerud.
The urnbearer was Glenda Hughes.
Interment was held in the Zion Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
CARD OF THANKS
The family of Harold Sand would like to thank the friends and staff of Points West, Dr. Burger and all the nurses at the Lloyd Hospital as well as all the homecare nurses that looked after Harold. Thank you to Pastor Quinn Adams, Brianne Bergerud and Jean Buha for being a part of the wonderful service. Thank you to the Zion LCW for preparing a delicious lunch. A special thank you to everyone who sent cards, made donations and to the Honorary Pallbearers - all those in attendance.
