Obituary of Rupert Gmeinweser

It is with great sadness that we announce our beloved father and grandfather, Rupert Gmeinweser, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the age of 89 years. He was born in 1930 in Denzil, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Barbara Gmeinweser. Rupert grew up with a large family.  

Rupert will be dearly missed by: his loving children, Peter Gmeinweser, Caroline (Tony) Greening and Christine (Edward) Hardy; his grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha and Nicole Gmeinweser; Jessica and Mathew Hardy; and Hanna Greening; sister, Theresia (Simon) Urlacher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rupert was predeceased by: his wife, Johanna Gmeinweser; and parents, Joseph and Barbara Gmeinweser.

Rupert's true passion and calling was farming, for almost all of his life he spent his time on the family farm working to provide for his children and grandchildren. He was always there for us and will be truly missed by all of us.

A private family service will be held in memory of Rupert.
