Obituary of Jean Stewart

Jean of Maidstone, Saskatchewan passed away at Maidstone Health Complex on August 11, 2020 at the age of 96 years.

 

Jean was born in Paynton, Saskatchewan to Norval and Mary Sweezey on January 12, 1924. She resided on the home farm and helped her parents. On May 1, 1947 she married Robert Stewart. The had a mixed family operation. The participated in all community events and school programs. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert in October 2003. Jean moves to Maidstone in 2004 and lived there till passing. She enjoyed her time with the Maidstone Seniors Group, Maidstone Health auxiliary, and keeping up family and friends.

 

Jean is survived by: her children, Marion Stoughton (Bill) of Maidstone, SK, Maurice (Maureen) Stewart of Leduc, AB, Brian (Elaine) Stewart of Saskatoon, SK, Cameron (Betty Ann) Stewart of Paynton, SK; grandchildren, Colette (Joe), Rowdy (Talli), David (Tammy), Robbie, James (Janelle), and Chad; great grandchildren, Kayle, Nashville, Spring, Hunter, Kane, Colt, Kyle, Kiara, Greyson, Denver, Ella, Bently, and Hudson; one great great grandchild, Phoenix; sister-in-law, Helen Head; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Jean was predeceased by: her husband, Robert (2003); her parents, Norval and Mary Sweezey; siblings, Angus, Myrtle, Caroline, Annie, Vaughan, Cecil, Bertha, Donald and Helen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Helen Stewart; and in-law siblings.

 

A Graveside service was held at Paynton Cemetery on August 15, 2020.

 

Donations in memory of Jean may be made to Maidstone Health Care Hospital Auxiliary.

 

McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
