Obituary of Ralph Bouck
Ralph Bouck of Kitscoty passed away peacefully on August 19, 2020 at the age of 83 years. He was born on June 14, 1937 in Wainwright, Alberta to Harry and Edith Bouck.
On April 25, 1959, Ralph married Marilyn Edith Adams and bought land between Kitscoty and Paradise Valley and started their family farm. They purchased the land from the Willoughby brothers and moved a two room shack onto their new land. A barn was constructed with lumber walls and a roof of poles and straw. The first few years, cows were milked to pay for the groceries and fuel for the tractor. Later the milk cows were traded in for beef cattle.
Ralph being a lover of horses soon purchased a good number and began raising, breaking and selling with Arabs and Quarter Horses being his main interest. Ralph also worked as a Brand Inspector for 40 plus years and began brand inspecting in the Vermilion area in 1964. Once he retired from Brand Inspecting, he continued to work on the family farm with his son Keith.
Ralph is survived by: his loving family, wife, Marilyn; sons, Duane (Charlene), Keith (Arlene) and Rod (Jackie) of Kitscoty; daughter, Gloria (Keith) of Pickardville; grandchildren, Chantelle (Ryan), Brandon, Justin (Amanda), Ian (Kelsey), Mark (Dakota), Shelbey (Austin), Ara (Ty), Aidan (Brenna) and Rees; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Zane, Blake and Everly.
