I have just heard of the passing of Troy. I am sending my deepest condolences to your family. I had the privilege of working with Troy during my time at the youth centre. Heartfelt condolences Fred & Kyla, family & friends. My hearts aches for your loss. I can’t even imagine the feeling. Troy always held a special place in my heart. The hug I asked for 8 years ago & he gave me I hold that precious memory in my heart. I was always asking Anna if she had seen Troy or you guys. ( Sorry guys but Troy ranked higher than you 2 lol. No offence).
Cherish the memories both good & bad. Fred I’m sure he’s with your father now. Take care.

So saddened to have heard the heartbreaking news of Troy's passing. We just cannot imagine what you are going through. And having watched the memorial video, we think back to when Fred and Mary travelled out west for your wedding. They came back home so full of love - so proud of their son and how well he was doing - but especially proud of their grandson Troy. We remember well their sharing of so many stories ... Troy said this and Troy said that ... he was so smart ... so funny ... such a character! One typical story is of a time when Troy was reading (the book was upside down and he wasn't very old ... but his eyes were scanning across the words) ... Fred said something to him and Troy quickly replied, something to the effect, "Stop talking Fred - I'm reading!" His grandfather told that story a good many times. So handsome and so cute! Clearly, Troy was the apple of their eye and their love for him so obvious to all of us. You have much to be proud of. When he came home to Newfoundland in February, those character traits were there for all to see (to those of us who were fortunate enough to have spent time with him). Troy was happy, energetic, smart, considerate, friendly and very outgoing! We could go on! He was a typical teenager and we thought great things awaited him. It is so hard for us, being on the other side of the country, but know that in this time of sorrow, we are with you in our thoughts and prayers. Hold on to your many wonderful memories. May they bring you comfort in the difficult days ahead. Take care and God bless.
Love, Karen, Terry, Nigel and Ryan, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Don
