I remember getting all our eggs and chickens from Rose. She hosted the best birthday parties for Hal when we were little with treasure hunts and those amazing popcorn ball treats at the end. So sad to hear of her passing. Love and prayers.

Our deepest sympathy to all. Rose was a great friend and community member. Her friendly disposition and that beautiful smile that lit up the room, will be sadly missed. She knew and shared the meaning of kindness and generosity. Rose truly was a ‘lady‘ . We will miss you dear lady.

My most heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Wright family on the loss of your dear mother / grandmother. I got to know Rose when I became a member of Manitou Pioneers Museum about 7 years ago. It didn't take me long to figure out what a special lady she was. She was always cheerful, so helpful, and always so encouraging and complimentary. I loved working on committees with her. She never complained even though health issues gave her reason to at times. Even at her age she was still an awesome cook. I remember buying one of her flapper pies at a pie auction at one of the Co-op's AGM for a ridiculous price but it was so worth it. I am going to miss Rose greatly but am so grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know and work with this dear lady. She will always hold a spot in my heart.
