Obituary of Gerald McDow

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Gerald Douglas McDow, on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the age of 73 years. He was born in Greenwhich, Nova Scotia on May 3, 1947, later moved to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Gerald worked all over the prairies in the oil industry, Husky, Lloydminster Maintenance and Tartan until his retirement in 2016. He was a plumber/pipe fitter for Local 488. Gerald valued his time with his friends at Central Suite Hotel. He will be sadly missed by them.

He was the son of (Marjorie Stanfield) McDow and the late Douglas McDow. He is survived by: his loving wife Cathy McDow; daughter, Marie McDow (Dave); sons, Douglas McDow (Sheri) and Gerald McDow (Patricia); step daughter, Shelley Burton; step sons, Kenneth Burton (Cathy) and David Burton (Tammy); sister, Lorraine Hackett (Jim); grandchildren, Jared, Alisha, Kayliegh, Ashley, Julia, Ashleigh, Josalyn, Rachael, Emily, Erica, Jack, Drew, and Ryan; six great grandchildren; a nephew, JD and two nieces, Samantha and Melanie.

Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid 19, a service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lloydminster SPCA.

Eternal rest grant him unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
