Obituary of Betty LaClare

Betty LaClare was born in Edam, Saskatchewan on October 4, 1929 to Johnnie and Carol Palenstein. She was the middle of three siblings. She married Walter LaClare in 1949.

Betty and Walter farmed in the Edam district and it was there that they raised a family of six: Dan (Verna), John (Gloria), Jeanne (Gerry), Wally (Kerry), Bill and George.

Betty devoted her entire life to her family and was most happy in the crowded kitchen during the holidays, grandchildren scurrying underfoot, heaping plates of food, teasing and laughter. She was a kind, generous and humble soul.

Betty passed away peacefully at Lady Minto Health Centre, Edam, Saskatchewan on December 22, 2020.

Betty will be sorely missed by her entire family and all those who loved her.

A Private Family Mass and interment will be held at a later date.
