Sheila and Bill would like to send our condolences to all of Dicks family.
Bill and I have enjoyed many memories with him and mom wherever we lived. He was a very giving patient man when it came to helping us with many building projects from our home in Fort Murray to later our retirement home at the Lake. Sitting around the fire at the lake he would often share many stories or just be content to sit back. He was often one of the last to leave for bed probably because it would bring back memories of his best years when he was at his cabin in BC. At the lake Dick would often disappear for a walk and come back with purple lips, us grinning and thinking guess the saskatoons are ready.
One memory our daughter shared with Dick in the hospital that brought a grin to his face was when she hears “moon shine” she remembers a time at the lake when they were here, Dick often bringing his special water in a plastic bottle and would leave it in the fridge, Dana got up in the middle of the night for a drink of water and omg that's not water. LOL. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren but I know they have many memories to treasure and share.
We were very thankful for all the time he and mom put into wrapping the deer or moose and making his meat into summer sausages, the best was the strip loin for on the bbq. His freezer was always packed and so generous to give so much away. I will miss that delicacy.
There were years he did more in my garden then I did, sometimes I would be so embarrassed as it never compared to the perfect garden he had, tomatoes and cucumbers for canning and no weeds. I remember one time I stayed out till dark weeding my garden because I knew he was coming early the next day.
Dick you were a wonderful step father, we were blessed to have you take care of our mom and be part of our family. Bill & Sheila Francis, Dana (Francis) & Craig Jessiman, Tesla Jessiman and Justin Francis

I would like to send my condolences to Aggie and her family as well as Dicks family and friends. I met Dick in 1992. Dick was my foreman for maintenance at the H L U . Dick was a great foreman he always made sure the workers understood the task at hand. Dick had a good sense of humour. Dick love to talk about all his fishing and hunting adventures. Dick loved to hunt geese and ducks and had some great deer hunting adventures. Edwin and Bob would talk about their ice fishing trips as well, they sounded like adventurous times that would make it rememberable to all. The stories would end up with Dicks gas line anti-freeze (homemade liquid) to help start the ice augers when they wouldn’t start TRUE STORY funny but true. Things that I remember is seeing Dick walking back to the shop from plant 42 at when it was 30 to 40 below he would have his jacket unzipped and his shirt half open and nnever got cold. Dick love making jerky , so when ever anyone made jerky they would get Dick to try it out at coffee row at work. Jim is correct if you had a hard lift to do. Dick was the man to check with, he was a good pipe fitter and a great person with a big ❤️ heart . I am honoured to have known Dick. R I P Boss. Ron Mysko

Our sympathies to Aggie and family as well as the Wist families. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time with Dick but the times I did spend I cherished. My best memory’s are when we worked together at the Upgrader in Lloyd. He was a good pipe fitter but his best quality, he was an excellent rigger. When Dick rigged things up for a heavy lift you could be confident it would be safe. I truly enjoyed the years I worked with Dick. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers for Dick and his family. Rest In Peace Dick!
