My dear Court. You were the first to welcome us to the lake community, the only one who named my first flower garden and who will always be known for naming my BBK 50-50 license plate. I will miss the times we would go to the patio to look at the stars at night or watch the clouds during the day.I will miss our long talks and walks and our trips to Timmys. Love you bud. Sorry to hear about Courtney. I have good memories of working with him at LCHS, especially his cheerful, friendly, teasing attitude, and his great sense of humour. He always made a point of coming to say Hi when I saw him out and about or at Tim's. He would tell me how some of the other students were doing now, or what he was up to, or how his job was going. He really did leave an impact on many people - may that be a source of comfort to you. Zoni Courtenay

Courtney was such a dear friend and volunteered where I worked at the Cultural & Science Centre. He was a gentle soul with a quick sense of humour, smiles, a twinkle in his eyes and always a story to share from trips to the lake, his love of cars and the Riders. I can still hear Courtney as he searched the museum for me, “marco” and I responded “polo”. Courtney was an exceptional young man, always with a positive attitude and never complained except when their trip to the lake was cancelled. It has been an honour to know Courtney my heart is broken yet filled with wonderful memories. Rest In Peace my friend you are so missed and loved. Hugs and prayers to you both Jack & Gerri forever in my thoughts.❤️

Courtney was a man that lived his life to the fullest in every capacity he could. He visited so many people on a weekly basis, volunteered where he could and worked at Nelson Lumber. He would always share a smile, a joke, a supportive word or a story with those around him. He was a gem in this community and will be sorely missed. It rips me apart that I will never see him rippin around the museum anymore, coming outside for a “dart” not that he smoked but he like the fresh air. Telling me about his family and fun at the lake, and teasing and joking as he often did. I’ll miss you Bud. Rest In Peace and know that you are in the hearts of so many.

Rest In Peace my friend.

Our hearts grieve for your loss, Jack and Gerri. I have so many warm and fond memories of the sweet Courtney I knew - not only as his teacher, but also as his friend. Courtney always offered friendship and a teasing connection to the many people who intersected his life path. I am still profoundly moved to remember his response when I asked what he would like to have written beside his high school grad photo. As closely as I remember, he dictated, “Life is like going down the highway full tilt and sometimes we check in the ‘rear views’ (loved trucks) and see how far we’ve come, and are grateful for the journey”. My heart will always remember his spirit of gratitude, with never a complaint about his journey. The whole community will miss what Courtney has contributed to all our lives. He and Christy are dancing together in heaven. Praying for those left behind to bear this loss.

Jack & Gerri We have known Courtney since he was born and he always had a positive outlook on life never ever heard him grumble about being in his wheel chair. Lloydminster and the Lake will never be the same with out that smile of his a person always wondered what he might have up his sleeve, what a guy. You have been the greatest parents anyone could ever ask for and the loneliness is so deep. I was thinking I wouldn't be surprised if God had a race track & truck waiting for him just to have a good run at something he would of liked to have done. Courtney was very intelligent & witty.
We know Courtney is at peace and would want you to have the same peace he has. Love to all family and your care workers as well that have been so much a part of his life.
