“Mutt”...we were blessed to have you in our lives for many many years...our girls grew up with your teasing ...I think it made your day when you got a few quips right back. The quadding, skidooing, clearing trails and hot dog roasts on the trail, splitting wood, fire pit conversations...then the grandchildren came along and some of them got to quad with Papa and Mutt too....all a part of all the memories we have of you that will bring us smiles as we carry on quadding and skidoo rides. You were our camping companion for many years and we will miss you....Bill, Dorinda, Jaimi ,Terri, Amanda, Nicole and families.

I first got to know Mutt when I started working for the Waseca Credit Union in 1973. He taught so many people how to water ski at Birch lake over the years, never accepting anything to help with the gas. We fall camped many years at Meeawasin camp ground and when that ended we had thanksgiving at our cabins. Mutt was always there and usually joined us for a day over Christmas. I will miss his insults. I think it was his way of saying he liked you. All the Linkert girls and their families will really miss our friend. Rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathy to Mutt's family. He was instrumental in recording the CD/cassette tape for the band the Waseca Descendants with whom my Dad, Alf Bexfield, so enjoyed playing with! So sorry for your loss. Linda & Doug Abrosimoff

Wow it is hard to accept that Mutt is gone! He was a wysiwyg kind of guy..what you see is what you get. He was truly a unique individual. Pretentious was not in his vocabulary. He loved spending time at Little Fishing Lake. My favorite memory of Mutt was one winter in the 1980's Wayne, Gloria, Joanne, and Brian came up to go snowmobiling. Our youngest, Karla was 3 or 4 yrs old. As we were getting ready to leave, Mutt stopped and wanted to come along. We told him we were just going for a short 30 min. or so ride. He decided to take us on a tour around the lake! Four hours later, we returned to the Cabin, the kids having fallen asleep in our arms. We were all dead tired, but in the process, had a wonderful memory that I will never forget. Mutt was the most courageous snowmobiler/Quad rider that I know. He had no fear of travelling miles in the bush by himself. Of course, being a good old farm boy, he could fix/repair anything, anywhere, anytime, as long as there was some wire or baler twine handy.
RIP Mutt..we'll see you down the road.

Mutt owned the farm I grew up on. However, he completely changed the landscape. We had great fun tramping the bush
discovering mementos for me before bulldozing began . Also loved the fishpond he had in Lilydale. He will be missed.
Sympathy to Allen & family.

Mutt was a true friend. He always had time to visit and he always shared his garden vegetables. When I was in the plays either in Waseca or Kitscoty he was always there volunteering his time to make our production better. He always video taped our performances and worked relentlessly to makes us all copies. He loved giving advice and sharing his whit. I think we all thought he would live forever........he will be missed by so many❤️❤️

So sad to lose a close FRIEND and NEIGHBOR. Many many memories of farming together, hunting, snowmobiling, working in lumber camps in alberta, water skiing at Birch Lake, much joy in conversations and laughter at the kitchen table. Most memorable day we will never forget is when he got a new out house and we took the old one out to the pasture and blew it up with dynamite!! Thanks MUTT for all the memories we all will MISS YOU. I am so thankful that I had the privilege of getting to know Mutt. I am not sure when exactly I met him - but I do know that he said, "My Name's Mutt, and I've been called worse" which became a signature catchphrase that he used when introducing himself over the years that I got to know him. Many of my fondest memories at the lake were with him. He was kind, considerate, and more often than not, hilarious. We teased each other relentlessly, and his face would always light up when he said something witty that he knew I would not have a come-back for. When I was younger, he would come by our campsite every day and take me for a bike ride all the way from Little Fishing to Peck Lake. The fastest I have ever seen him move was when I fell into a ditch and he threw himself off his bike after me to make sure I was okay. Afterwards, we would cook hot dogs (his burnt, of course) and he would tell me all about whatever article he had read that morning. He was the kind of person that you never forget. We will miss you, Mutt.

Mutt was one of the most intelligent people I had the privilege of knowing. He called a spade a spade but was not judgmental and was open minded. I have many fond memories of times spent with him at the lake and visits over a Smirnoff ice or a cup of hot chocolate. He was quick to complain about having to dry dishes (probably because he liked the ribbing) but the first to volunteer to split the wood. You were one of a kind Mutt and you will be missed
