BIOGRAPHY
PHIPPS ~ George Lorne Robert Phipps passed away peacefully in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the age of 88 years.
Lorne will be sadly missed by his wife Rhoda of Marshall, SK; nine children: Reg and Carol Phipps of Marshall, SK, Marilyn and Jim Warren of Tofield, AB, John and Gloria Phipps of Marshall, SK, Bob and Rhonda Phipps of LaRonge, SK, Rhonda and Chuck Berg of Marwayne, AB, Doug and Suzanne Phipps of Lloydminster, SK, Vicki Phipps and Al Schille of Lloydminster, AB, Bryan and Louise Phipps of Greenstreet, SK, Bill and Kelly Phipps of Marshall, SK; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives.
Lorne was predeceased by his son Brad Phipps and special friends Jack and Doreen Thomas.
The memorial service was conducted from the Lashburn Community Hall, Lashburn, Saskatchewan on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. with Reverend Peter Yeung officiating.
The eulogy was given by John Lupul.
The bagpiper was his grandson Chris Warren.
The hymns sung were "One Day At A Time" and "The Church In The Wildwood" accompanied on the piano by Jo Klassen.
A Legion Honorguard was in attendance.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.

To the Marshall Legion and Comrades. Special thanks to Chris Warren for playing the bagpipes. Special thanks to John Lupul for the heartfelt eulogy and to Peter Yeung for the very nice service. To Jo Klassen for playing the piano. Thanks to The Larriette Catering for the lovely lunch. Our thanks to everyone who attended the service and for the cards and lovely flowers.
