I enjoyed Bill and his life wisdom he passed to the younger Rotarians. I also remember his commitment to the air cadets when I joined the 186 squadron as a teenager.

Dear Gene, Bruce, Barb, Margo & families.
Sending you all our deepest heartfelt sympathy as you mourn the loss of a wonderful man. We have fond memories of the few times we spent with Bill & Gene when they came to Australia to visit Margo.
On one occasion Bill was keen to have a drive in the old Model T Ford which belonged to our friend. Only trouble was he couldn't quite get used to the fact that he had to drive on the left hand side of the road instead of the right. Just as well we had a quiet street & my husband Wayne went along to keep him in line. Wonderful memories of a very special man. Hold those memories close to your hearts.
Much love to everyone from Wayne, Janine, Emma, Nick & Zali.

Barb and family:
Although we didn't know Bill very well, the Wiebe's have meant a big deal to us for many years. We can't help think Bill must have been a tremendous man because of the daughter he raised, the man she married and the children they had.
Thinking of you and sending love from miles away.

My sincere sympathy to the entire Till family.
I was fortunate to have Bill introduce me to amateur (ham) radio.
From the 1960s for many years Bill and Gene were part of my life - in radio , camping and fishing , travelling
and lots of coffee time visits.
Bill will always be remembered.
Rest In Peace my friend

20 years ago while travelling with Margo and Steve, Bill and Gene welcomed me into their home. Although they had never met or spoken to me before, they took me in with warmth and kindness. It was only a couple of weeks, but it has been one of my fondest memories ever since. Bill was a gentleman in every sense of the word. A wonderful man from a wonderful country.
My condolences to all of his family and friends.

Sincere sympathy, Gene, to you, your family and Bills many friends, made through a very busy, active and caring lifetime, It was a pleasure to work with Bill, in the 'Lloydminster Handivan Days' I shared many good conversations, laughs and insightful learning about the history of our community. He had a generous heart and time for Lloydminster, never failing in support where and whenever he could help. He will forever be an Icon as the community writes history, never to be forgotten.

Gene and family,
We are very sad to hear of Bills passing.
Bill was a gentleman and a leader who helped ourselves and so many others with his sound values and willingness to engage in whatever situation or issue presented itself. Honesty, humour and no fear of speaking up when necessary were Bills examples for the rest of us. We will miss Bill as we know the family will, please accept our sincere condolences.

Bill's community service work improved the lives of many in our region. His passion to make things better was always focused on the bigger picture and long term benefits. He fought for causes that were important to people that, often, could not fight for themselves. He has a set a benchmark for community service that we may target in our lives to honour his memory. His wisdom, knowledge, professional experience, "can do" spirit, and caring approach cannot be replaced.
Gene, the community will miss him as a leader, while your family will grieve for the loss of an equally impactful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was a humble friend who has left an admirable legacy that your family can be forever proud of. You are in our thoughts and prayers, neighbour.

Sorry to hear and see this announcement. Bill Till, ( for me ) was a solid, “look up to” individual. I first met him when I was in 186 Air Cadet Squadron, right here in Lloydminster. He was instrumental in helping both myself and Dennis Brown, how to make our own radios. Later, Bill worked with, and for Harris Electric, for my Dad, Ron Sr. and my Uncle Alf Harris. It was during this time that I, as a teenager, and Bill as an adult, that he made me feel we were equal. He was very easy to talk to and with, and I felt comfortable talking to him or seeking advice. It was through Bill that I met Gene, who always also had the time to smile, talk, and listen. He became one of the most positive role models as I was growing up. I also had joined the Lloydminster Rotary Club, and again Bill was a key and integral figure once again. Thank You to the Till family for sharing this wonderful man with rest of us.
With my love, respect, and sincere regard, Ron Harris Jr.
