First, I will like to say that was a beautiful service and Greta tributes to a great and caring man. With permission from the family I call him Grandpa Doug, even on my cell phone contact I wrote it as Grandma Lanora and Grandpa Doug. I got to know him lots through farm injuries and grandma Lanora always joked that he is keeping out of trouble whenever we spoke after I left Paradise Hill. They kept in contact all through these years and I felt so privileged and loved every time they went out of their way to visit me in Stony Plain. Like a parent whose child moved away from home and they wanted to make sure she was settled in a good place, they visited me at my first clinic, at my first home and at our present new home, even though we had just moved in and had no blinds, Grandpa Doug sat facing the south sun. When we asked if he wanted to move, he laughed and reminded me he is a rancher and used to working in the sun. He always had a joke for me. I was planning a visit to Saskatchewan last summer but could not make it due to the pandemic, I wish I could have seen you one more time, laugh and have a meal together. Will surely miss you next time I visit Paradise Hill. My condolences again to Grandma Lanora and the family.

When you hear the name Doug Eaton, you just have to smile. He is one of the Good Guys that the world will miss. He and Lenora are a part of our family. They never missed an event and often stopped by my Mom and Dads (Ken & Mary Brown) when they were in Edmonton.
Our deepest sympathies to the Eaton families. Our thoughts are with you at this time.
