Obituary of Lorraine Sharrott

Please share a memory of Lorraine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

In loving memory of Lorraine Mary (Gervais) (Hobbs) Sharrott, born in Batoche, Saskatchewan.  Lorraine passed away peacefully on May 22, 2021 at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan at the age of 81.

Left to mourn her passing are: her sisters, Merope (Lenore) (Rutten) Gervais,  Arlene Rosemary (Gervais) (Vrtar) Huot and Valerie Mary (Gervais) VanLoon; brother, Allan Ronald Gervais; she was deeply loved and will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine is predeceased by: her mother, Elizabeth (Henry) (Gervais) McLennan; father, Adelord Gervais; brother, Albert Joseph Gervais; and sister, Denise Lucille (Ainslie) Gervais.

Lorraine was a pioneer nurses aide from the age of 13.  She worked at many hospitals and care facilities across the country including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba caring for many patients along the way. As matriarch of the family she was very proud of our Metis culture and leaves us with many fond memories. Prior to the passing of her loving husband Lane Sharrott the two enjoyed traveling while listening to country music, dancing, bingo, cards and visiting with family and friends. Lorraine lived life to the fullest.

Cremation has taken place and the interment was held at Marshall Cemetery, Marshall, Saskatchewan on May 28, 2021.

Donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre.

MAY HER SOUL REST IN PEACE
