I am so sad to just learn of Jean’s passing. Jean was an angel to me who came into my life randomly while stop for a rest at the mall in Lloydminster. My mother was dying in a hospital in Edmonton and I was on my way back to Winnipeg. I was sharing with the Assistant in the store how I just needed to stop and have a cry as it was so hard leaving her. The sweet lady asked me all about my mom and then suddenly a beautiful angelic looking lady came from behind a rack of clothes and said, “I knew your mom!” It was Jean and I think her granddaughter from Tisdale. I didn’t know her but she introduced herself and told me she was my Dad’s cousin. I hugged her and cried. I needed family and she was there. She made the effort to attend my mom’s funeral a few weeks later and we made the effort to stop and see her in Lloydminster a year later. She was such a very sweet lady and I wish we could have lived closer in distance. I have thought of her very often and that moment and that hug will be forever engraved on my heart. Such a huge loss for you all. A very special lady. My dad, Bill Woolsey and our family send our condolences to the family.

My husband Bob and Jean shared a table at meal time for many years in LCC. Jean always watched out for Bob and he enjoyed bantering back and forth with her over a wide range of topics. We enjoyed our trip to the mountains with her and John. My condolences to all of Jean’s family.

Our sincere sympathy on the passing of your Mom, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. It has been a pleasure getting to visit with her since she and Mom moved into the new LCC. In spite of her being the eldest at the dining table of the 2 Bobs and 2 Jeans, she kept an eye out for all of them. A truly beautiful angel has gone to her eternal home. The heavenly choir got a new member! We have been friends for years working side by side as Jubilee Home Jems.
