I send my condolences to Betty and all of Stan’s family. I sure will miss seeing one of the absolute Top Shelf guys that I know. Stan taught me how to fish and hunt and how to enjoy the outdoors more than anyone else and for that I will always be grateful. Bye for now my friend. Rod B.

My deepest sympathy to the Benson Family. I met Stan through my employment at the credit union. I enjoyed our chats throughout the years. He was such a friendly, kind, and sweet man to know. He was the kind of guy who just made your day, he always had a smile for you and many times a good chuckle. Rest In Peace, Stan. You will be missed but never forgotten.

It's always deeply saddening to hear about the passing of an old friend. Stan and I met decades ago, probably in the dental office.Afterwards we met frequently in the pursuit of outdoor activities. We occasionally fished together but moreso hunted together , Stan introduced me into hunting variously different species of animals and birds and then we concluded our athletic activities by playing slo-pitch until our fifties.Memories aplenty. Pat and I extend our sincere condolences to Betty, Darrell and Shelley and their respective families.Rest in peace ,my friend.

Betty, Darryl and Shelley. So sad to hear of Stan’s sudden passing. I have many fond memories of Stan when I was a child. Riding in his semi, picking up oil. Playing ball out at the farm. Watching him de-horn cattle in his white jeans. Sincere condolences from Lori and I

I'm so sorry to hear of Stan's passing. Growing up around the Willoughby Brothers truck shops I always remember Stan being so friendly. In recent years it was nice to sometimes run into Stan when we made a trip back to Lloydminster. He still had that big smile and was always interested in what I was up to. It seems as time goes on that it's getting harder to replace men like Stan. They just don't make them like that anymore. My since sympathies to Stan's family.

My sincere condolences to Betty and family on Stan’s sudden passing. I will truly miss all his river updates on all the moose activity with pictures and videos. His phone messages “Gregg, Stan here...nobody important” then his laugh. He was truly a fun guy to be around and his knowledge and experience with nature “unsurpassed”. A true gentleman and friend. Will be sadly missed.

We are all shocked and saddened to hear of Stan’s sudden passing. We will miss his stories, his jokes, his pictures and videos, and his passion for the wildlife that he took so much time studying and caring for. He is forever present in our lives and in our home in memories and photos. We will carry on his tradition of calling ahead to order apple fritters so they’re fresh for our coffee breaks, and of picking up Riesen candies to toss to our friends. We will check the pasture gates and we will keep your signs posted, and we will surely miss everything you took care of up there for us.
We are thinking of all of his family at this very difficult time. Hey Stan - catch you later....

Oh I’m sad to hear of Stan’s passing. I’m sorry for your loss. I used to see Stan at the dental office- he would always come in with a big smile, make an effort to find me and say “hey girl!” He always left me with a toffee candy or two- which he found really funny because I’m a dental hygienist. I pray you find comfort in the memories you have with Stan, and knowing that he touched the lives of many- mine included. Prayers for love and light to you all during this difficult time.
