Dear Wendy, Brett and family. Thank you for letting me know of George's passing. I'm so terribly sorry and wish I were there to wrap my arms around you. George, as so many others have said, was a man of integrity, always willing to give a helping hand to everyone. His smile was contagious and made everyones day a little bit better. This very smile has been passed on to Brett. Wear it proudly Brett as you are a ray of sun shine in my life and the neighborhood. I'm so saddened for your loss and will call you when I return. Wendy, please lean on your friends and family. We all want to help you in anyway we can, for we are hurting too and would love to honor George by helping his loved ones. I am praying for you and sending my deepest sympathy. Your friend and neighbor,

Wendy & Brett Words can't express how heavy our hearts are right now. George was an unbelievable neighbour and we will remember him & his ways forever. The "How's my girls today?" every time he seen our girls in the front yard. The huge smile and big wave on a daily basis, the small talk in the driveway and the unwritten "who has the greener grass" competition. We know we cannot fill the void in your lives, but just know that our whole family is here for you. BOTH of you. Our hearts go out to you in this time of sorrow.

Wendy, Brett, Trevor & Leanne, Your Dad will be terribly missed and in the time we spent together on road trips for work either in Wabasca, Fort McMurray, or even just around town, his family was always in our conversations no matter what we were doing. He was always telling me that no matter what family should always come first and it is something that I'll always remember from him. He was the one that rushed me to the airport in Fort Mac so I could fly to Edmonton for the birth of Drew. Family first!! Working as close as I did for 13 years with George we had so many great times and great stories because of those times it would fill a book up. From the old Dosco days, water fights, bogus police reports of me, to driving in the ditch to keep me awake on road trips, he was always in the middle of it. My family will miss him and always have a smile when we think of him. God bless you all! Dean, Delee, Drew, Dane & Dacie Segberg
