Obituary of Steven Smith

Steven Louis Smith passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the young age of 58, after an exhausting battle with cancer.  Steve was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Harvey and Catherine Smith and was the youngest of five brothers, as well as big brother to one sister.  

 

Steven will be deeply missed by: his wife, Wendy Smith; children, Troy Smith, Chanelle Peters (Brandon Peters) and Jordan Smith; and four grand babies, Charleigh, Reuben, Mataha and Finley. Steve will be loved and missed deeply by all his family and friends.  

 

He is pre-deceased by: his mom, Cathy; dad, Harvey; brothers, Tim and Terry; niece, Calico; and grandson, Matthew.  

 

He was known for his great humour all the way to the end, his high sense of sarcasm, his love for fishing and his love for his family.  You can be sure he would say the following words multiple times throughout the day; funkadelic, funkified, groovy and coolio.  He was a man who never stopped giving, a man who would lend a hand whenever needed even if he didn’t have a hand to lend.
