Obituary of Jean Meldrum

BIOGRAPHY MELDRUM ~ Jean Wilson Stuart Meldrum passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Jean was born on October 26, 1925 in Montreal, Quebec to Johanna and William MacMillan. Jean is survived by daughters: Moria and Darrell Burns of Irma, Alberta, Kathryn Meldrum of Lloydminster, Alberta; son: Nairn and Cindy Meldrum of Lloydminster; seven granddaughters; two great grandchildren as well as sister-in-law Doris MacMillan. Jean was predeceased by her husband Ken Meldrum. The funeral service was conducted from the Knox Presbyterian Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Allan Young officiating. The hymns sung were "Onward Christian Soldiers", "In The Garden", "The Lord's My Shepherd" and the recessional "Battle Hymn of the Republic" accompanied on the organ by Jeanette Young. The active pallbearers were Nairn Meldrum, Karla Meldrum, Graham Harkness and Richard Beaunyer. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
