Obituary of Laurelyn Mitchell

It is with great sadness that the family of Laurelyn Dawne Mitchell announce her sudden passing in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on, December 30, 2021 at the age of 45 years.

Laurelyn will be remembered by: her loving husband, Jimmy Mitchell; son, Tyler (Lynn) Vallee; daughter, Alyssa (Will) Franklin; two grandchildren, Luka and Grayson; parents, Dave and Luanne Chornohos; sister, Crystal (Richard) Vallee; nephew, Nigel; niece, Skylar; and numerous aunts, uncles and special cousins. Laurelyn also had many friends who held a special place in her life.

Laurelyn is predeceased by: maternal grandparents, Don and Lucille Galloway; paternal grandparents, Bill and Rose Chornohos; and uncle, Ken Chornohos.

Laurelyn was a woman of great ambition. Her smile and famous hugs will be missed by all. Laurelyn's laughter and joy could, and did, fill any room she walked into. She would give when she had nothing to give but her smiles, jokes, favors, and mostly, her time. Even at her lowest she encouraged others to fight one more day with laughter and a warm embrace.

The Funeral Service for Laurelyn will be conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
