My earliest memories are of Dowain and Judy. I was only a young child but I have always considered Judy as my first real friend. My parents spent a lot of time with the Fishers and my thoughts of that time are warm with Judy's smile. I never called her Mrs. Fisher, it was always just Judy. I had a genuine love for both of them as they were a part of my beginning in this life. I even cared for them so much that as a child of three I had decide to go live with them in Lloydminster. We lived in a semi rural area at that time and I spent much of my time alone and up to whatever a small child does when with their own thoughts. I could see the water tower from my house thus it was reasonable that I thought I should be on my way to live with the Fishers after all I considered them my family too! I mounted my hobby horse with a hobo stick of something, headed up the driveway and down the roadside with the water tower in my sight. Mom finally saw me running down the road on my faithful steed and I was quickly whisked into the house. I must have said something bad as I remember having a month full of soap shortly afterwards but maybe that happen prior to the running away idea.
We moved from Lloydminster in 1965 a very long drive away to Dawson Creek BC. Fortunately, almost every year we took a trip east and spent time with the Fishers which was always a joy, or on family camping trips to Shuswap Lake or your trips to Dawson Creek. Judy always had home baked cookies with mint chocolate chips and was adventurous with potatoe chips having salt and vinegar flavor. She was special like that.
There are many great memories of visits and of the new additions to the Fisher family almost each time we returned to Lloydminster for our stay in a few of your different homes over the years. Just like true family, you came to our special family events when the Bourassa girls got married. My last good visit with Judy was in August of 1993, when Sandy and Alan got married and I had my new born baby, Paula, My how things changed so much with family shortly afterwards and our lives took different turns and new paths. I'm sure you came to my Grandma's 90th birthday celebration too, but perhaps our interaction was brief that time as don't remember it well.
Judy, I will always remember your smile and kind gentle ways with a special place in my heart. Rest in Peace
Michelle Loroff (Bourassa)

Our Sincere Condolences to Dowain and the entire Fisher Family
My wife Bonnie and I were Greatly saddened by the news of Judy's passing. I remember Judy from early days at Grandma Wouters (Ida) summer camps at Edam, Sask. for sure Very Fond memories of her then AND also of the family in Lloydminster with her and Carolyn. Judy was certainly a very Special person and a wonderful family loving lady. Although distance was a factor in not seeing her much at all I always heard from my sister how Judy was as well as Dowain and family.
Our thoughts and Prayers go out of you Dowain and ALL OF YOUR FAMILY ..... You had a Very Special Wife, mother and Grandmother.
Hugs to All of You .... and Love Your Memories .....

Dowain, Daryl & Charlotte, Greg & Lisa, Charlene and families,
Please accept my sincere condolences at July's passing. She put a valiant fight, always hopeful she would be able to go home. She is home now, not the one she expected, but a far better one where she is completely free from pain, probably getting hugs galore from loved ones who've gone before.
I was talking to my brother one evening, and he made a comment about my little dog, Magee, being so "SCHMART" and tears began to roll down my cheeks because, "SCHMART" is a word that my dear friend Judy said a lot.
Watch for an OWL appearing in an unusual way, the owl will be Judy's message to you, that's she's in a wonderful place, and watching over you!
She was a very special lady
Lots of Love Charlotte

To Judy’s family,
I was so saddened to read of Judy’s passing. She was a very special lady and it was my pleasure to care for her at the DCECC.
I always knew I could count on her to update me with curling, and hockey scores or I’d pop in to watch the end of a game with her.
We shared many conversations of our grandchildren and had lots of laughs together.
My sincere condolences to you all.
