My first memories of Darlene were her cutting our hair and Sunday dinners at the Peregrym farm between morning and evening services. We usually had some form of pork which was out of the ordinary for us beef people (there were some discussions about which was better), but it always tasted delicious especially when paired with her excellent Ukrainian dishes. I know this is a going home for Darlene but we will miss you here too. Love and prayers to all the Peregryms.

My journey in relationship with Darlene began when she and Peter welcomed me for a dinner after Sunday service at Living Faith Pentecostal. As a recent “coloured” immigrant from Cape Town South Africa, it was the first meal I ever ate and enjoyed with this hard-working farm “white family” in my life. That warmth and generosity began the healing journey in my heart, and a beautiful friendship through the years continued at Moose Lake Pentecostal camp where our annual gathering renewed our friendship with Darlene and Peter, Dwight and Judy, in Services, camp fires, fishing and visits on the farm. I have always appreciated Darlene’s strong spirit to speak up and share her convictions! You always knew where she stood. For that I will be eternally grateful. May the Lord’s blessing of comfort and strength be upon all her children grandchildren and great grandchildren. My sincere condolences, Rev. Ruth and Rev. Simon Clarence.

Our condolences to everyone in the Peregrym family, I well remember Darlene's tough love as she would speak her mind when we were together. I will never forget the winter in early 90's when she had two snow machines brought to the Biensch Ranch for me and my family to ride along with her son Dwaine and his family. What a day of fun riding in the fields even tho it was -30. She had a big heart and always called me her adopted son. So happy she is with her family united in Heaven in the presence of Jesus.

Peregrym Family. My heart felt condolences on the passing of a very beautiful lady. She was a kind person inside and out and loved by so many. Even though we haven’t been in touch for many years I first met Peter and Darlene when Reverend Kerechuk was the minister at the Pentecostal Church on 56b Street. Cherish the memories you have created through the years. Share them with family and friends and she will always be with you in your heart. Janette (Weaver) Garrant.
