Betty & Janice & families: We were so sorry to hear about your mom. I will always remember her laugh and her ready smile. She was another one of the good Doolittle ladies - can you just imagine the Doolittle reunion that is going on up above right now?! I hope that you will draw peace and strength from your memories and from the knowledge that your mom is always in your hearts. As we are both fighting bad colds, we are trying to be cautious about spreading them, and unfortunately won't be at the service today. Please know however that we are thinking of you all today.

I got to know Norreen when I moved into town 4 years ago and became her neighbour. I joined the embroidery group which she belonged to and there was much laughter with her. We will miss her smile and laughs at our meetings.

Dear Janice & Betty & Doolittle families, I was saddened to hear of Noreen's passing.. The last time I saw her at the Lodge, she looked good.. Had a nice visit with her... I'll remember the good times we had curling.. she was always a lot of fun to curl with even tho' we had a bit too much to drink at some of them!! I think it's appropiate that she passed away on a Wed. (bingo night in Livelong and that her funeral is right after the ladies bonspiel.) two of her favorite things to do... Our deepest sympathy to all. Vern & Ella Mae Millard

I remember Norreen from visiting with her many times at T'ford sporting events and at Bell Clarks in Cochin. She would have her two girls with her and they would stay with Bell in the summer when my Nick was working at the Jolly Roger so I would see plenty of them. Norreen had such a strong and resolute persona and she filled a room when she came in. Us women enjoyed playing cards in the evennings, drinking Bells good stiff drinks with Johny Cash playing loudly. I can recall Norreen severe scowl of disapproval when she felt we "old girls" had enough and were cutting up, acting like giddy teenagers but we sure had swell times at Bells. Norreen never joined in the horsing around and the card games but she watched us like a hawk to make sure we didn't fall off the edge of Bells land if we decided to go for a walk to get home. Little Betty would be with her and what a pretty little girl she was. I saw Janice in NB a few years ago and she just is the picture of her mother in every way. Sorry to hear of your Mother's passing, girls, she was not that old but I did hear she'd been ailing with that troublesome weight. Oh I do miss those days of kicking up our heels in Cochin and when I saw this about poor Norreen, I felt so bad thinking of the loss to her family. It's a shame to see as she really was not that old. I hope the family is able to have a nice service in her memory and to remember some good times with Norreen. My sympathy to all the Doolittles and Clarks and to the folk who will miss Norreen the most, her girls. I see their names are both still Clark so I do trust if I send a card of sympathy it will reach them if sent to general delivery T'ford but if for some reason it doesn't make it, please know that Bernie, Carol and Bev would all be sending their wishes of sympathy as well. I look over the obits her once in awhile and I was shocked and saddened to right off the bat see someone I used to know. My, it's been years but I do want to remember the family during this difficult time. I don't know if you remember my Nick from the Jolly Roger, Janice or Betty but he is in Ireland now. I know he would send his regrets as well and would he might remember you girls when you would come in there with Bell. The years have passed, time passes but we all remember our old friends even if we have not been connected for a while so please know that many people will be thinking of you now. Regards, B.Blanchette
