Obituary of Barry Melchert

Barry Roland Melchert passed away peacefully at Maidstone Health Complex, Maidstone, Saskatchewan, April 15, 2022 at the age of 79 years young.

Barry was born in Tisdale Saskatchewan. He was a huge fan of the Riders & Habs. Barry had a passion for playing bowling, hockey, golf and was always up for a game of crib or yahtzee.

Barry is survived by: his partner, Sharon Weir; his seven children, Dale Melchert, Dave Melchert, Dennis Melchert, Jeanette Mcall, Duane Melchert, Laurie Melchert and Dean Melchert; 14 grandchildren, Jared, Alexandra, Stephanie, Cheyenne, Justeen, Maxwell, Ryder, David, Elizabeth, Dylan, Justin, Brett, Cody, Masyn; one great grandchild, Bodhi; his sister, Sandra Wasylucha; brother, Norm Melchert; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Barry is now in heaven and will be joining: his late wife, Joy (who passed away in 2012).

At Barry’s request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Barry may be made to Canadian Heart Association or Canadian Lung Association.
