Obituary of Travis Barbour

Travis Stuart Barbour passed away in Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the age of 27 years.

Travis was born January 29, 1995, in Estevan, SK to Stuart and Sherri. In 2003 the family moved from Estevan to Lloydminster which is where Travis grew up. Travis grew up playing hockey in the Lloydminster minor hockey league, he always had a love for off road vehicles. Travis and his family always loved to quad together and go on camping adventures, even up to Alaska. When Travis was in high school, he began to find a love for the guitar. Travis learned to play guitar at the church he grew up in, and it was from there his music interests continued to grow. After high school he began working at a local mechanic shop in Lloydminster. It was here that his love for cars and automotive continued, Travis earned his Red Seal in Automotive in 2019. 

In the spring of 2016 Travis met Marissa in Edmonton. This began a new chapter in his life, and it now included someone for him to love and be with. Travis and Marissa moved to Edmonton in March of 2019, and that same year they welcomed a son Rowen who was born in June of 2019. Travis was so happy to be a father, and he loved Rowen very much. 

Travis had many hobbies and passions, but his great love was his music, and it was through this musical bond that he made many close and lasting friendships. Travis although quiet at times, you knew that he cared for his friends and his family, and they were important to him. Travis had a way of connecting people together. He made friends easily and will be missed by his many friends and family.

Travis is survived by: his wife Marissa Smith; son, Rowen Barbour; father Stuart Barbour; brother, Ryan Barbour; and his grandparents Stephen and Jean Goertz.

Travis is predeceased by: his mother, Sherri; and grandparents, Archie and Evelyn Barbour.  

The Celebration of Life in memory of Travis will be conducted from Lloydminster Gospel Fellowship Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM.  If you are unable to attend in person,  you may view the live streaming of the service which will be posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under the obituary of Travis at the time of the service.

The interment for Travis will be held at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, near Estevan, Saskatchewan on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
