My heart is broken for all of you, Maxine. I didn’t know Jordi well, but he was the first dad I had come in to volunteer to listen to kids read l. I’m sure you have pictures, but he took Zac’s hair up to the next level for crazy hair day. No washable colour and barrettes, that was too easy. Jordi used clippers, lol. I remember thinking, “I hope Maxine knows about this”.

A memory Jordi brings to mind, is of when he worked for us. Austin would have been 2 1/2 or 3 years old at the time. When I would take Austin to the shop, Jordi would drop whatever he was working on and focus all attention on him. Picking him up and spinning him, tossing him in the air (and that was a long way up!), or zooming him in the Little Tikes car. I knew then that he would be an amazing father, and he did not disappoint.
Another memory was one of our Christmas parties, and we had some good ones! During an intense and somewhat vicious game of spoons, Jordi lunged himself onto the table. Those long legs caught the underside of the chair seat, flinging it up and into the bay window. Nothing broke, but there was quite the noise and much laughter ensued!
May these memories help you through this unbearable time. There are no appropriate words, just know we are thinking of you all.
