Carl welcomed me with smiles and witty conversations when I first joined the pool staff, 18 years ago. He was an exemplary man in our community and as a friend. I just found out last night about Carl’s passing. I would have liked to attend the service, but I did watch it online. And yes, I do remember the hair-dying incident, and many others lol. I will miss him, but am richer for having known him. My condolences to Robert and the rest of the family.

We just found out today of Carl's passing, our condolences to the entire Harris Family. Carl was a "kindred transplant recipient" to Donna and we will always remember Carl and his family for the amazing support given to the Canadian Transplant Association.
How very sad to lose two brothers in such a short time period - we have been away and missed the notices of both funerals... wishing we could have been there to deliver our hugs in person. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I watched some of Carl 's funeral service on this site today. I didn't know Carl well but remember him being an energetic positive person and a bit of a character. He was a good friend of my cousin, Kevin Willoughby. I always remember visiting Kevin's parents, Howard and Lil Willoughby in Victoria one summer. Carl had been there and had left just before I arrived. Shortly after I arrived a news story broke on TV about a Sasquatch siting near Hope BC. I still remember Uncle Howard saying " That's no Sasquatch that's Carl Harris in a monkey suit". Of course that's not true... or is it? My condolences to the Harris family and to Kevin, on the loss of a good friend.

As a teenager in the early seventies it was difficult for me when my family decided to move to a new city. I was terrified to attend a new school where I knew no one.
The came Carl…an angel on earth. My fondest memory of Carl was when he welcomed me to my new school. His kind and sincere demeanour helped me adjust to my new surroundings.
I chuckle when I think of our time in algebra and science classes. I struggled learning the material but Carl always made it fun for me. We were scolded by the teachers a few times but it didn’t stop our fun.
Rest In Peace, Carl.
My sincerest condolences to all the Harris and MacInnis families.

Carl was very witty as a teenager. His uncle Alf delighted in giving the kids multi instructions
When they came to work after school. After one of these sessions Carl said “OK uncle Alf, and should I stick a broom up my add and sweep the floor at the same time.” This happened about 1968. I was working in the office.

Robert: We have many good memories of times spent with your Dad. Arnie has lots of stories of them working together and all the jokes they played along the way.
