Obituary of Mike Scovell

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael "Mike" Ashley Scovell in Edmonton, Alberta on November 20, 2022 at the age of 58 years.

Mike was born in Oakville, ON, on October 8, 1964 to parents Ian and Joan (nee, Adby) Scovell. He grew up the youngest of 4 boys in Mississauga and attended Glenforest Secondary School during his teenage years. He then moved to New York State for a short time to live with his dad, before continuing onto Calgary, AB, where he earned his Journeyman Auto-body Technician certificate from S.A.I.T..  He moved to North Battleford, SK, in the summer of 1992, after meeting his future wife, Norma Warwick at her sister’s wedding. In 2002, after living in North Battleford for 9 years, Mike and Norma relocated to Lloydminster, AB and their daughter, Mikayla was born in October, 2003. Mike worked mainly in the auto-body trade throughout his life and in his off-time, he and the family spent most of their spare time at their cabin in Meota, SK, where they enjoyed being on their boat, cruising around in the side-by-side or just enjoying the sunshine with friends or family on the deck at the cabin. Mike was also an accomplished, self-taught drummer and spent many hours practicing and playing in various bands.
