I saw this and remembered all the times I went to CKSA to pick up a prize and she always knew my name. We always had a visit and we got to know each other well. I will remember her fondly.

To Janette’s family, I wanted to share my sincerest best wishes to you all during this time.
From the time I was a little boy dreaming of getting to be a voice on my hometown radio station and winning some prizes on the radio…Janette was always the lady who got to make my day when I got to simply go inside the four walls of Broadcast Centre at the time.
Then when my dreams came true of getting to be on the other side of the radio and become a colleague of Janette’s, it was one of the greatest privileges of my life and I will always treasure that great time.
The Gift Of Christmas will always have Janette’s spirit in every gift that is opened by those less fortunate on Christmas morning.
Lots of love and may you rest easy Janette! I will always treasure getting to give you a hard time and you give me the gears right back. Your hugs were the best!

Janette, or as many people knew her, the front desk hero of Broadcast Center, 1080 CKSA, CKSA & CITL TV. I had the honour of working with Janette from 1988 to 1990. After all these years, right up until her retirement, she knew my voice and my name each time I called the station to "pick her brain" to see if she remembered someone, or had some information I might need. She was the heart and soul of the GIFT OF CHRISTMAS, wrapping each and every gift for the boys and girls of Lloydminster for decades. I asked her once if she ever gets weary of doing it. She said, "Not at all! I love doing it every year!" . That was Janette. Friend to all who came and went from that station, and in our former employee FB group, she is fondly remembered by so many. We'll miss you Janette. Rest in Peace and enjoy your first Christmas in heaven. ❤

I am so sorry to hear about Janettes passing, she was best friends with my mom for years and they went to bingo all the time together. My mom passed away November 11, so now Jeanette and Mom can play bingo together in heaven. So sorry to the family for the loss of your mom. She was a great lady and we teased each other often. She will definitely be missed.
