Obituary of Frances Nordell

Nordell: Frances Mable Nordell of Turtleford, Saskatchewan passed away in The Riverside Health Complex, Turtleford at the age of 97 years. Frances was born in Dundurn, Saskatchewan on October 17, 1912. She is survived by her daughter: Lois and Denis Painchaud and twin sons: Douglas & Lynn Nordell and Delmar and Leslie Nordell, nine grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren; one sister: Emily Woodward and sister-in-law: Lily Mork and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Rufus in 1995. The funeral service was conducted from The Good Shepherd United Anglican Church, Turtleford on Thursday, December 31 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon Donald Skinner officiating. The hymns sung were: It is no Secret, Amazing Grace, What a Friend We Have in Jesus with a solo by Reverend Canon Don Skinner - “In the Garden.” The organist was Bev Meikle. The choir was in attendance. A private family interment was held at The Turtleford Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. of Lloydminster and Turtleford administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The Nordell and Painchaud families would like to thank the nursing staff for their care and compassion during our Mothers short stay in the hospital. We would also like to thank all our friends and families for the food, cards, flowers and kind words during our time of need. Words can’t express the gratitude we feel. We would like to thank the choir and Bev for playing the organ. We would also like to thank Don for his singing the solo and Del for the eulogy. We would also like to thank Dave and the McCaw family for their compassion and personal touch.
