The Gawley Girls an Families Our heartfelt sympathy for the loss of Dad. He was a one in a million stockman. We covered many miles from Little Island, to Prairie Lake, to Miner's Lake and back to the Shack and then back again the next day. I would want to be on the move before the cow did or I wasn't pulling my weight. All those things he taught have stayed with me and I am thankful I had the privilege of working along side of him

To the family of Lloyd Gawley I certainly remember the stories Tom would tell about your Dad"Gawley" as Tom would say. I remember the times that Lorne & I spent visiting with Clare & Donna, also with your Dad & Mom. Remember those good times & the way he had of making you laugh. I even had times when I would visit them when we lived down the back alley from them in Marwayne. My thoughts & prayers are with you at this time.

I won't be able to attend the service but wish to send my sincere condolences to the family. I think Lloyd is one of those people who deeply touched more lives than even his family would imagine. Lloyd was a good friend to my dad and I have fond memories of trail rides drinking black coffee like the "real cowboys" do and going blueberry picking picnics with dad, Lloyd and Pat. These are memories that I cherish.

Donna, Barb, Elaine, Terry and Families I reckon there's a lot of us out here who will remember Lloyd with a great deal of fondness! He's come down the trail a long ways and touched a lot of lives while he was doing it. He and old Crankshaft will be gathering the "Boys" together and putting things to rights in some far off place. Not too many old Cowboys could speak Latin and "roll your own" while doing it! Say "Hi" to all the Oldtimers, Lloyd, we'll see you on the other side. "Remember me in Sunshine, when the Long Day ends." With Deepest Sympathy Roy & Wanda Young

Lloyd was one of the last great "real" cowboys of our time. He was a man that you loved and held deep respect for - he taught a lot of us to love and respect animals and people just by his example alone. I can still see him sitting in his saddle scrunched over with a "roll your own" cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I remember him telling me that you couldn't smoke, until you could roll your own cigarette with one hand while riding hell bent on a horse. I think it was his way of telling us - we were all too young to be smoking!!!! We loved him and will miss him. Penney & Doug Ford and family
