Obituary of Harvey Woods

Harvey Ernest Woods of Lone Rock, Saskatchewan passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital on March 14, 2023, at the age of 85 years old.

Harvey is survived by; his wife of 60 years, Florence Woods; three daughters, Doreen (Glenn) McCaw, Donna Woods, and Dianne (Ray) Eyestone; one grandson, Nathan (Sarah) Woods and two great-grandsons, Jaxson, and Grayson.

Harvey was born in Pathlow, Saskatchewan on June 19, 1937, to parents Robert and Lillian Woods.  He grew up in a large farming family and had 11 siblings – brothers: John, Jim, Russell, Charlie, Lloyd, Donald and Allan and sisters: Edna, Evelyn, Mary, and Alice.  On October 6, 1962, Harvey married Florence Staub and together they had 3 daughters: Doreen, Donna, and Dianne.

Harvey spent over 30 years working in the oil and natural resources sector throughout Alberta.  He enjoyed many outdoor hobbies and was an avid hunter and fisherman when the family resided in northern Alberta. In retirement he enjoyed planting a large garden and loved to solve mechanical issues on older model vehicles.

Harvey is predeceased by his parents Robert and Lillian Woods along with sisters; Edna, Evelyn, Mary, Alice, and brothers; John, Jim, Russell, Charlie, and Donald.

At Harvey’s request a funeral service will not be held.
