Obituary of Terence Decker

Terence Robert Roy Decker lost his battle with mental health on April 25, 2023 in Fort McMurray Alberta.  

Terence is survived by: his ex wife Lynette; his children, Tyler( Kirstyn) and granddaughter, Taaliyah; Natasha (Logan) and grandson Alex; and Kyle (Ashleigh) Shayla (Jayden); mother, Geraldine Decker; mother and father-in-law, Pearce and Maxine Mitchell; siblings, Beverly Decker (Owen Wicks), Debbie Michaels (Gerry Michaels) and Kelly Pizzey (Ian Pizzey);  brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell and Laura Mitchell; nieces and nephews, Nichole Decker (Grant Decker), Noelle Sheppard (Randy Sheppard), Dustin Nicholas, Ian Newman (Zaren Estero), Dillon Nicholas, Brandon Michaels, Sammiee Haas (Tony Triumbari), Jonathan Michaels (Sidney Michaels); Holly Norman (Patrick Norman) and Dylan Mitchell;  great nieces and nephews,Kalem Decker, Kris Mitchell, Jake Sheppard, Kailee Decker, Abbie Sheppard, Tony Triumbari, Octavia Triumbari, Lexi Triumbari, Abagail Norman, James Norman, Austyn Michaels and Maverick Newman; and many other close friends and family. 

Waiting with open arms were: his father, Roy Decker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry Nicholas, Morris Newman and Lorie Mitchell; friends, Greg Nelson, and Christopher Packwood; and many other close friends and family.

Terence was born December 07th, 1968 in Baievert Newfoundland. He loved to fish and play darts. He loved everything to do with nature and adventure. He always said art is an expression of love. He enjoyed drawing and painting. He always talked about how much he loves his family. He was always the one trying to make everyone smile. He had a big heart and would give anyone in need the shirt of his back. He was very passionate about helping the homeless in the last couple years of his life. He wanted everyone to know they are not alone and he had an ear for listening. There will be a link to donate to the Fort McMurray Salvation Army where Terence spent a lot of his time helping others as well as project sunshine; a company for helping the homeless in memory of Terence. 

A public viewing will be held at McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.

The Funeral Service for Terence will be conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, May 4th, 2023 at 2:00 PM. If you are unable to attend in person , you may view the live streaming of the service which will be posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under Terence's obituary at at the time of service. At the family's request, please wear colorful clothing. Please note, there will be an opportunity to share a private written note for the family or placed with Terence.  

Donations in memory of Terence may be made to LRHF -Project Sunrise or Salvation Army - Fort McMurray.
