My heart goes out to Claude’s entire family. He was a lovely man and we always enjoyed our visits. We recall him being very pleased that he could still water ski at 65 years old or longer.
He will be greatly missed. We hope that you find comfort in all of the wonderful memories that have been made with him…HUGS

I’m so sorry for your loss, Joyce. My deepest condolences to you and all your family. I remember you and Claude very fondly from my earlier CU days. You were always a beautiful couple - happy, smiling and so kind. And you were the BEST dancers! Your love for each other was easy to see, and it was the kind of relationship I admired and hoped for one day. I was deeply saddened to read of Claude’s passing. I hope your many wonderful memories bring you some comfort during this difficult time.
Sending hugs and strength,,
Jeanette

Mr. Hamilton was my grade six teacher. As usual I am in trouble along with a couple other students. Mr. Hamilton lined us up in front of a book shelf about four feet off the floor. He told us to put our heads under the self as he carried a four inch wide strap back and forth behind us. Now if you jump when I hit you, maybe it will knock some sense into your heads. He never did follow through with the strap but it was definitely one of those unforgettable moments in my life.

Dear Joyce and Family...
I was so sorry to hear that Claude had passed away. He was so good and helpful at Nelson Lumber all those years ago. I didn't know that he was your husband, Joyce, but I sure knew I considered myself lucky if I got him to help me and answer all my house building questions!!
I know you will all miss him so very much.
Treasure your memories!

Please accept our condolences on the loss of Claude. Graydon and I grew up on the many great stories of Claude’s first teaching job at Broughton school and boarding over at Selmers with my dad. It was Claude who convinced my packrat dad to garbage stuff when the farm was going up for sale. Lord knows no one else could convince him. We have nothing but good memories, and hope our memories help in this difficult time.
Love,
Kevin, Rose (Lomas) and Hunter Jacques

He will be forever in our hearts.

I’m so so sorry to see this
My deepest condolences to you Joyce and your family
He was one of my favourite teacher’s at Junior high and then the years went by and then I seen him at Nelson Lumber and to my surprise he never forgot who I was.
I’ll never forget seeing him at Lakeland College at a soccer game and I asked him who he was watching and his reply was my grandson Jerson who came from Cancun
This is when we had the privilege of getting to know Ariel, Bonnie, Jerson and Leira
He was a great man and he will be missed by all who knew him
