I am Daryl Broley. My aunt Goldie and uncle John Oddan and Beverley (Mrs. Lorne Foote)and Darlene were very close:two families: my parents Jim and Sylvia Broley and Deardre(Mrs. Keith Walters), Darwin and myself and the Oddan’s. Our anchoring was my maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Westcott.
I shall always treasure the many X’mas celebrations that we were together in Marshall and on the farm. The main centrepiece of the day was the groaning table with the great T-bird feast. Later, we laughed and carried on, playing team charades. We would regularly stay overnight and carry on celebrating on Boxing Day with grudge-match canasta tournaments.
As time went forward, we were separated at X’mas, They were lovely family times. Now,we are still blessed by those ever continuing fond memories: never forgetting our lovely Darlene.
I miss you, my lovely, loving cousin, Darlene! God be with us alll!
Love you, from Daryl, first cousin to you and Beverly. I still love charades. I am sure you do too!

Sending our heartfelt condolences to you. Many of my memories of your Mom are from the Southminster events when we were kids. More recently, I enjoyed catching up with her on our visits to Lloydminster and she would pop over to Uncle Harald's.

My condolences to Darlene's dear family. I have fond memories of being her cribbage partner for many years when I was a teenager. We had so many laughs and talks, but never were there to win. :D

Heaven is getting another angel. Loved seeing her truly enjoy her work with students. She was the nurturing soul that many students appreciated. She could use her innocence to make connections with everyone. A beautiful soul. Hugs to all the family.

I was so very sorry to hear of Darlene’s passing! It was so great working with her at LCHS. We had many many laughs over her many shenanigans which are probably best left unmentioned :) There was never a dull moment when Darlene was around. She used to report regularly to us about her horses and other animals. She gave me the best card with a wonderful message when my dog passed away that I cherish to this day! I remember attending a community supper with her and it was so much fun! When she retired it was great seeing her at Co-op and catching up. She truly was a gem and loved by all. Cherish your memories.

I was shocked and saddened to see this. Darlene was my daughter's EA at LCHS and such a gem. Always smiling! She would meet us at the door and take Jen in her wheelchair & they were going "cruising" for guys!!! Jen would giggle & off they would go. My condolences to Darlene's family. Cherish the memories of this lovely lady.

My deepest condolences to you, Amber and family. I loved working with your mom. She was so full of life. She was so easy to talk with…meeting her in the Co op grocery store ….all we needed was a BIG cup of coffee….we seemed to have so much to tell each other and to discuss. She was always very proud of you, Amber, and her grandchildren. She was a bright light at LCHS.

Dear Amber & Family:
So sorry for your loss.
I worked with your Mother as an EA for several years. She was such a wonderful lady! She was a Prim Lady and liked to have fun. We always waited on Halloween dress-up day, to see what Darlene was going to create from her tickle trunk. She had the best costumes! I'm sure she passed those costumes down to her grandchildren to enjoy. She was such a Joy.

I sure appreciated and enjoyed working with Darlene at LCHS. A friend reminded me today of a line she always used about aging and not wanting to be a spring chicken, because they got butchered in the fall! And that was Darlene… so much fun, and always so funny and full of life. What a joy to have known her!
