It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Charles McIntyre, 82, of Marsden, Saskatchewan, shares his passing at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on July 25, 2023.

Brian was born in Lashburn, Saskatchewan to Archibald (“Archie”) Edmund and May Letitia on June 29, 1941. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan in 1964 and was only 2 credits short from completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting.

Brian’s passion was the lifetime he gave to building Charann Farms into a successful farming operation he could be proud of. Over the years he also built a successful accounting business helping other farmers and businesses with their own success. In 1985 he supported his wife Donna in opening the Neilburg Corner Service which served as the local community gathering place until it was sold in 1997. Following in his dad’s and grandfather's footsteps, Brian invested innumerable hours in supporting and building the Marsden and Neilburg communities. He served as a Board member of the Lloydminster Credit Union for 21 years from 1972 to 1993. He served as Secretary Treasurer for the Neilburg Recreation Board (37 yrs), Neilburg Fire Board (22 yrs), and West Forty Small Business Loans Association (25 yrs). He was a councillor for the Rural Municipality of Manitou Lake for over 28 years. He was also a board member for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and the Neilburg and Marsden Coops as well as President of the local Minor Hockey Association for numerous years. In recognition of his community achievement, volunteerism, and farming excellence, Brian was the recipient of numerous awards including the 2005 Saskatchewan Centennial Medal recognizing individuals making significant contributions to the province of Saskatchewan.
