Obituary of Gustave Schmidt

Gustave Fred "Gus" Schmidt passed away at Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on August 25, 2023 at the age of 87 years.

Gus is lovingly remembered by: his wife, Helga; children, James Schmidt, Sheryl Luck and Sheldon Schmidt; grandchildren, Megan Luck (Shaun Gair) and Mitchell Luck; siblings, Betty Robertson, John (Barbara) Schmidt, Minard Schmidt and Mary Mazurek; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Gus is predeceased by: his parents, Simon and Veronica Schmidt; siblings, Valentine Schmidt, Margaret Schmidt, Ann Ste. Marie, George Schmidt, Tony Schmidt, Ralph Schmidt, Rose Moser, Paul Schmidt and Joe Schmidt.

A Celebration of Life Social for Gus will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Moose Lodge, Lloydminster, Alberta commencing at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gus may be made to Canadian Red Cross or Canadian Wildlife Federation.
