BIOGRAPHY STURGE ~ Vivianne Norma Sturge passed away peacefully at the Jubilee Home, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the age of 79 years. Vivianne will be sadly missed by her son Miles Alexander of Lloydminster; two daughters: Dawn Gettel of British Columbia, Jane and Dale Kidmose of Lloydminster; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister Beth and Doug Hemstreet of Calgary; one brother Neil & Val Procter of Strathmore; sister-in-law Betty Chamberlain of Calgary as well as numerous other relatives. The funeral service was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Michael Stonhouse officiating. The eulogy was read by Neil Procter. The hymns sung were "All Things Bright & Beautiful" and "In The Garden" accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. An Eastern Star Honor Guard was in attendance. The active pallbearers were her Family Members. The interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS Vivianne's family would like to thank Dr. Kerlis, all the staff at the Jubilee Home and all the home care workers that helped Vivianne over the years. A very special thank you to Betty Tomlinson. Thank you to Reverend Michael Stonhouse and Pastor Ken Fisher for the beautiful words you spoke about mom. Thank you to Pat Skinner for the wonderful music as well as Neil Procter for delivering a beautiful eulogy at the service. Thank to the Eastern Star Honor Guard for being at the service. To the ladies at the Legacy Centre, thank you for the excellent lunch. Thank you to McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. for your professionalism and compassion during this difficult time. A special thank you to everyone who sent cards and flowers, made donations, brought food to the house and to everyone who sent their thoughts and prayers. The families of Vivianne Sturge Donations in memory of Vivianne may be made to the Jubilee Home Patient Comfort Fund, Lloydminster Handivan or to a charity of the donors choice.
