BIOGRAPHY PARKYN ~ Clara Helen Parkyn passed away peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on November 11, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Helen is survived by five children: Bob and Terry Parkyn, Linda and Gordon Hall, Don and Pam Parkyn, Allen Brooks and Pat Kelly; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives. The funeral service was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Sue Hertell officiating. The eulogy was read by Andrea Scobey. The hymns sung were "In The Garden" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" accompanied on the organ by Irene Knowlson. The pallbearers were Helen's grandchildren: Nicole Charleton, Ashley Parkyn, Alicia Fabrizius, Andrea Scobey, Amanda Tuplin, Francis Tuplin, John Fabrizius, Brad Charleton, Darren Scobey and Nadia Blackman. Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS Thank you to Glenn, Dave and Joel McCaw and Staff for your professionalism and kindness. Thank you to Dr. Kerlis for his great care given to Mom over the years. Thank you to Dr. Dry, Dr. Fourie and Dr. Cavanagh and nurses in Emergency, ICU, and the third floor. Thank you to Reverend Sue Hertell for the beautiful service and her thoughtfulness and a special thank you to Andrea Scobey for the heartfilled eulogy of Grandma's memories over the past 91 years. Thank you to Irene Knowlson, a lifetime friend of the family, for being the organist. Thank you to the grandchildren and their spouses for being Grandma's pallbearers. Thank you to the Ladies of the Legacy Centre for the luncheon. Thank you to everyone who made donations, sent cards, made phone calls, and sent food. She will be missed by Bob & Terry Parkyn, Linda & Gordon Hall and Don & Pam Parkyn. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
