Doris “Marie” Trundle passed away peacefully September 9th, 2023 in Salmon Arm, BC surrounded by family.
Born August of 1938 in Lloydminster, she grew up in Fartown, Saskatchewan. She met the love of her life on a skating rink in Marshall and together they settled in Lloydminster where they raised four daughters. They retired for many years at their beloved home at Loon Lake before returning to Lloydminster.
Marie took very good care of her family, tending a large garden, cooking and baking. She loved to play cards and was known to cut a rug or two. Marie moved to BC in 2019 to be closer to family.
Marie Trundle is survived by her daughters, Diane (Emil Storos) Trundle, Wendy (Ted Ramey) Trundle, Rhonda (John McIntyre) Trundle and Heather (Rodney Farewell) Trundle; her grandchildren, Jordan (Andrea) Browne, Travis (Rowena) Browne, James (Jenn) Trundle, Tammie Trundle (Kurt Mohr), Christie (Logan) Tolsma, Allison McIntyre and Shane Dornfield; her 13 great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Ken (Pat) Trundle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Art Trundle; her parents, Samuel and Doris Noyes; and her grandson, Cameron O’Reilly.
A Memorial Service in memory of Marie will be held at a later date in Lloydminster.
Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or SPCA.
A verse from Marie’s favourite hymn, In the Garden:
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
A Memorial Tree was planted for Marie
