Therese was an amazing woman who loved everyone. She truly epitomized the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. 'Love your neighbour' was Therese's motto. I got to know Therese later on after my brother Fernand passed away. I remember being invited to her house in Lloydminster as I was there for a swimming meet one weekend with my daughter Amélie. She made supper for us all the while tending to whatever needs were there; her husband was asking for her help as he was aging, some of her adult children had come in to ask for her advice and all the while she was also looking after some of her grandchildren while their parents were working. She seemed to handle everything with love and joy. Therese was truly a virtuous and righteous human being! We truly have been blessed by her life!

To Cathy, Joel, Amanda and all of the extended Lacombe family: Therese Lacombe became an integral part of our lives in the 80's when Cathy and my brother Fernand married. Practically everyone in the Ben and Lilianne Gaultier family was touched in one way or another by Therese. She was one of those human beings whose faith and personal qualities made her both the rock and the glue that makes you trust that all will be well, no matter what. She had a particular quality to her voice that was soothing but also self-assured. I can still hear her.
Family was everything to her; and she graced many a family celebration, ours included.
I will always have the greatest respect and admiration for Therese.

I am in shock .... I have known your family in so many ways, she was the mother of friends, she was a neighbor at Padua, and most recently I was so blessed to bring reading materials ...DVDS and to be part of the staff that could bring those pleasures to her at the Pioneer House ....
Thank you to the family who have remained friends .... for phone calls, emails, visits few and far between.
Through your continued friendship I will be able to keep her memories and stories by sharing . .

Theresa was a beautiful soul … she will be forever remembered with fondness and admiration by all who knew her ! She was an example of a great pilgrim here on Earth.
What a smile she would have had when she awakened in heaven on October 6.

After my Mom passed Therese told me she had gotten the creamer out for Mom out of habit then she realized Mom was gone. She said “Then I remembered your Mom is in a much better place drinking much better coffee!!” I loved that and think of it often. I hope our Moms are having a heavenly cup of coffee right now! She was a gem!
