BIOGRAPHY BERRY ~ Harold George Berry passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the age of 81. Harold was born on July 11, 1928 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and was raised on the family farm North of Marwayne, Alberta. On July 11, 1958 he married Muriel Hames and they took over the family farm. In addition to running the farm, Harold worked for over twenty years as a night operator for Husky Oil. Harold was very involved with his family and had a keen interest in owning and flying his own plane off the airstrip at the farm. Harold is survived by his wife Muriel, daughter Monica, sons Lyle and Neil (Lisa) and his two granddaughters Michaela and Arden. He is further survived by his brother Arthur (Shirley); sister-in-law Phyllis and numerous other family and friends. Harold is preceded in death by his daughter Loretta, brother Andrew, sister Margaret Kile. The funeral service was conducted from the Marwayne Alliance Church, Marwayne, Alberta on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Bob Aldrich officiating. The eulogy was read by Stan Fox. Leader of song was Yvette Barnett singing �One Day At A Time�. The hymns sung were �The Old Rugged Cross� and �Amazing Grace� accompanied on the organ by Joanne Horton. The active pallbearers were Clifford Kile, Harold Berry, George Berry, Todd Hames, Murray Hames, Henry Keichinger, Rob Fox and Brad Fox. Interment was held at the Marwayne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the Family invites people to make donations to the Parkinson�s Society. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The Berry family would like to express our sincere thanks for the many blessings received from family, friends, and neighbors through their prayers, love and support. Also thank you for the gifts of food, flowers, phone calls, visits, cards, gifts and the generous donations. Thank you to the Doctors, 3rd floor nursing staff and the Dr. Cooke Extended Care staff for the excellent care and compassion shown towards Harold, and for the patience and understanding to the family. Also, a special thank you to Reverend Bob Aldrich for officiating, Joanne Horton for her music, Yvette Barnett for her vocal selection, Stan Fox for the eulogy, the Pallbearers, and to Colleen Hozack for the wonderful lunch. We extend our heartfelt thank you to McCaw Funeral Service for their most compassionate service. In lieu of thank you cards, a donation will be made to the Parkinson�s Society. In lieu of flowers, the Family invites people to make donations to the Parkinson's Society.
