Vanita Jaylene Heathen (Chief) was born to Caroline Chief and Kevin Heathen on March 04th, 1999.  She was born in Lloydminster, SK.  Vanita was the youngest of 5 children.  At the young age of 16, Vanita had become very independent and matured fast. She worked, went to school and lived on her own in Saskatoon. While attending Oskayak High School, she was awarded the SaskTel Achievement Award.  Vanita began her academic career at the University of Saskatchewan, she was in 1st year of Arts & Science. While she attended school, Vanita also worked at Value Village. Vanita had a great love for animals, especially cats. She had two fur babies by the names of Savage and Strip.  It was in her nature to care and nurture all cats.  If it was up to her, she would have every stray cat in her apartment. Vanita also, had a great love for the outdoors. She learned fast and mastered the art of Fishing. Vanita loved making memories around the campfire with her family and friends. She loved to go for long walks by river and having BBQ’s with her family. She loved listening to music & playing her X-Box online with her nephews. Another one of her passions was cooking, her favorite dish was pizza casserole. There was nothing that could stop her, when it came to saying “you can’t” she would do whatever it takes to get it done. Her caring heart and respect for others was her greatest quality. What made her heart warm and joyful was spending time with her Nieces and Nephews. Her big heart always had room for all her loved ones, family and friends.
