Obituary of Clifford Deni Chocan
Clifford "Juno" Deni Chocan passed away at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on March 4, 2024 at the age of 40 years.
Clifford Deni Chocan Jr. was born Feb 23, 1984 to JudyAnn and Clifford. He was the center of attention until he became a big brother to Stacey and Kayton. He was known to call them ‘baby girl’ and the ‘big baby’.
Juno was the first cicim for Raymond and Lorraine. He spent many loving days with his mosom and kokom and remained very close through the years. He followed his mosom everywhere, and if you ever needed to convince mosom Raymond to do something, it would simply have to be a job for Juno.
Juno discovered his love for cooking and fed this passion by watching hours of cooking competition shows before heading to Saskatchewan Polytechnic to complete the Culinary Arts program on the Moose Jaw campus. He received his diploma to great cheers from his family and worked in various kitchens in both Onion Lake and Lloydminster prior to his passing. He was an enthusiastic cook and loved cooking even more when someone else would clean up after - he was known to be a bit messy.
Juno started his journey as a father with his first partner Charlene, welcoming Chasey-boy and later Lorayden. He met Joanne and together they shared many happy years and their family grew - boy did it grow! Joining Joanne with her children, Jayzlen, Rylan, and Reha; soon to join the family were, Sarah, Athena, Kanye, Lyla, Noah, Alora, and Gabriel. Juno was blessed to have Kovey join his crew too. It must be known that Juno had the biggest heart and was an amazing father!
Juno loved his movie nights. He and Kayton were known to quote movie lines in almost every situation. We think he even knew some movies word for word! He was known to golf and may have had an unfortunate incident with hitting a house on a fairway, but we’ll never tell! Juno also loved to go fishing, especially during his time at Ministikwan.
Juno was predeceased by his Kokom, Lorraine; auntie, Candace; cousin, Desiree; mosom and kokom, Peter and Mariah Crookedneck; uncle, Darryl; and numerous cherished capans, mosoms, kokoms, aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Chocan, Chief, and Crookedneck families.
Juno leaves to mourn his loving wife, Joanne; children, Chasey-boy, Sarah, Lorayden, Athena, Kanye, Lyla, Noah, Kovey, Alora, Noah, Gabriel, Jayzlen, Rylan, and Reha. He will be dearly missed by his mosom, Raymond Chocan; mother, JudyAnn (Terry); father, Clifford; siblings Stacey, Kayton, Tatyana, Clifton, Kelvin, Jersey, and Sandy. He will be forever missed by his nieces and nephews Niyanna, Nya, Aidan, Jorryn, Paige, and Kayson; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, and his large and loving family from Ministikwan.
